The Sun Grows Cold Howard Berk Books
I read this book many years ago and it has been lurking in my memory ever since. The recent rash of school shootings and a story just today of the man who took his family to lunch at a restaurant and left the table, ostensibly to use the restroom, and returned to the table in his car killing his daughter and daughter in law and injuring his granddaughter in the act. That brought this book unbidden to the front of my memory. I guess that is a clue to the hidden secret the other reviewer wrote about but technically, it's not a spoiler. Read it... a '70's book even more relevant today.Tags : The Sun Grows Cold [Howard Berk] on Amazon.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The Sun Grows Cold Howard Berk Books Reviews
A very interesting science fiction story about a man waking up with his memory erased. He needs to find his way in a world destroyed by a nuclear war, with only few people having survived. From the beginning, the reader get's the impression that there is some hidden truth behind this story, something horrifying. Well written, and exciting to the very end.
This was the book that woke up my desire and love for reading.
Reading this as a young teenager ... really influenced me!!
